French school holidays
The school year starts in September and finishes in June, with the following holiday breaks:
October half term, 1 week between the end of October and the beginning of November.
Christmas, 2 weeks from around December 20th.
February half term, 1 month holiday period (split across 3 zones) from February to early March.
Easter, 1 month holiday period (split across 3 zones) in April.
Summer, 2 months of holidays over July and August.
The Rhône-Alpes region comes under the regional academic zone A (Lyon and Grenoble educational authorities).
